Deepti 28,from Bastar village of Jagdalpur district, gave birth to twin baby girls after seven years of her marriage. She had an institutional delivery at Private clinic at Jagdalpur. The babies were categorised under ELBW (Extremely Low Birth Weight) because of 0.65 gm and 0.60 gm. Babies were premature, that’s why they had symptoms of asphyxia and sepsis. Afterwards they were referred to private hospital at Raipur. The Condition of babies was highly critical and time makes that more crucial. Doctors have lost the hope to make the babies survive, henceforth babies were finally referred to biggest SNCU center in the oldest medical college of Raipur, Chhattisgarh on 29th August 16. Among these two neonates, condition of one baby was too decisive. And unfortunately she couldn’t survive after few hours of admission. The case was taken by the Head of the Department, Paediatrics, under her guidance management and treatment procedure was initiated. In SNCU doctors and nurses have paid special attention to the baby. After putting 2 months of continues effort 24*7 by Doctors and Nurses of SNCU, it was possible to gain the weight of baby by 1.5 Kg. At the end baby got discharged from SNCU in October 16. All the post discharge instructions were given to mother, so that growth and health of the baby can be tracked via follow up process.
